Full Review

From the moment a baby awakes, he views objects from where he is positioned. The text follows the baby’s perspective, first from his crib where he sees his parents in their bed as they awake, then from his carriage outside where he sees activities around the yard, and when the day ends he falls asleep leaving the unanswered question of what he sees while he is dreaming.

The illustrations are of a strangely antiquated home, say early 1900s, but are interesting to children. Where the illustrations lack a certain vitality, they excel in terms of observable detail.
